Sheldon J. Liptz, CPA
Partner (Retired)

Sheldon is the founding partner of Liptz, Roberts, Marquez, Merkle, Singh & Zipor Chartered. With over 35 years of professional experience, Sheldon developed close relationships with his clients and was often called on as an "advisor" and "mediator". Sheldon provided sophisticated tax planning and consulting services to many of our high net worth clients. Sheldon worked closely with many of the firm's small and medium-sized corporate clients, guiding them through all phases of the business cycle. He managed the firm's Medical Consulting Group, which advises doctors and practice managers in such areas as revenue enhancement, personal and business tax planning, billing and collections, overhead analysis, staffing, and personnel policies, office systems reviews, internal control reviews, employee benefit plans, buy-ins, buy-outs, and practice valuations. Sheldon received his accounting degree from the Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, D.C. Because of his concern for all aspects of his client's financial needs, he worked closely with them in business succession planning, estate planning, and trust formations. Sheldon has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), and the Association of Practicing Certified Public Accountants (APCPA).
