Allan has practiced public accounting in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area since his graduation from the University of Maryland in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and the American University in 1986 with a Masters of Science in Taxation. Allan brings to the firm over 40 years of experience working with clients in various industries including, professional practices, real estate, small business, and not-for-profit organizations. Allan began his career exclusively in Audit practice and later branched out into Tax and Audit. Allan is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax Division (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Practicing Certified Public Accountants (APCPA). He has extensive experience in the areas of individual, corporate, estate, international (expatriate) and partnership taxation, business valuation, business succession planning, retirement plans and financial planning, including representation before the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities. Allan has over 20 years of experience in Non-profit Audit, as well as, experience in For Profit Audit and Pension Plan ERISA audits. Allan has recent class experience on Nonprofit Audits.
